HAM AND CHEESE BISCUIT POCKETS

1 c. cubed cooked ham
4 oz. (1 c.) shredded Swiss cheese
1/2 c. finely chopped peeled apple
10 oz. can flaky biscuits
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp. water
Alfalfa sprouts if desired
Chopped tomato if desired

In a small bowl combine the ham, apple, and cheese. Separate the dough. Roll out 5 biscuits to a 4-inch circle. Place on a greased cookie sheet.
Place about 1/2 cup of the ham mixture on the rolled out circle of dough. Roll out the other 5 biscuits to a 5-inch circle. Place over the filling and press with a fork to seal the edges.
Combine the egg and water; brush over the filled biscuits. Bake at 375 degrees. Cut each in half to form pockets. Garnish with alfalfa or tomato.
